We are thrilled to announce the newest hire to our growing management team. Elyse Hamby, M.Ed. has recently joined us as Oscar & Ma's Academy Director.
Elyse has over 10 years of experience in leadership, strategic planning, and project management. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cal State Dominguez hills and a Master's degree in Education from Whittier College, she has a strong foundation in effective leadership and the management of both individuals and teams.
Elyse also has an extensive background in nonprofit program development, having worked as the Program Director for both Child360 and the Friendship Foundation. She is also an educator, and was a part-time teacher for the Bellflower Unified School district for over five years.
"I enjoy matching people with the right skill set for the right project, restructuring organizations, and creating a positive work environment," Elyse says. "My experience has allowed me to effectively lead teams and manage many big projects to successful completion."
As Oscar & Ma's Academy Director, Elyse is responsible for developing workforce development curriculum as well as the day-to-day management of the academy employees. She looks forward to making a positive impact on the organization and to growing the Academy Program into a large-scale program.
